DESCRIPTION:Mission & Purpose\n\nThe Diversity Inclusion Task Force was established as a standing committee of the Town Council on October 7\, 2020. The task force is charged to:\n\n\n Provide advice to the Town Council\, Town Manager\, and Police Chief regarding issues of diversity and inclusion involving the Police force. \n Provide advice to the Town Council regarding ways to improve diversity and inclusion generally in the Town of Tiburon. \n\n\nThe Task Force has outlined their work priorities as the following:\n\n\n Police Department and Policing Analysis\, including bias-free policing and reports from the Police Department\n Community Engagement and Education\, including cultural events\n Staffing Policies and Practices Analysis\, including hiring\, talent development\, and promotion as it relates to diversity and inclusion and an exploration of workforce housing\n\n\nMeeting Documents\n\nThe Task Force meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 5:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public. \n\nAgendas\, Minutes and Staff Reports\n\nAgendas and staff reports will be posted prior to the regularly scheduled meeting. \n\nView the most recent agendas and staff reports.
