DESCRIPTION:Oscars Night In Tiburon\n\nOscars night at Cinelounge Tiburon includes photographs and champagne on the red carpet\, contests for predicting winners\, live music\, fine wine\, craft beer\, non-alcoholic libations and a first-time preview of the theater's new "Spinal Tapas" that are rolling out full time later this month.\n\nCinelounge partnered with chef John Myers of Aquatic Culture\, an established Belvedere-based full-service catering and niche seafood bar business\, to develop a menu of small bite options that are easy to eat in the dark without cutlery.\n\nThe Oscars night and ongoing selection includes a trio of mini dogs (smoky all beef\, chicken apple sausage and a Spanish chorizo-stuffed Medjool date wrapped in bacon) and burgers (sesame-crusted eggplant with caramelized onions\, harissa\, cucumber and tahini\; Wagyu beef with caramelized onions and cheddar\; and Oregon bay shrimp with remoulade).\n\nCharcuterie sticks are skewered with salami\, prosciutto\, mortadella\, marinated bocconcini\, artichokes\, roasted pepper and olives\; Southern chicken tenders are served with remoulade sauce and slaw\; and green chili mac and cheese bites come with a cilantro dipping sauce. Finish it off with mini churros with chocolate ganache. Seasonal additions will supplement the menu moving forward.\n\nDuring special events like the Oscars\, Aquatic Culture will bring out its elevated oyster bar and serve a freshly shucked assortment with champagne mignonette\, lemons and hot sauce. Tiburon's the Caviar Co. will also be there with added indulgences.\n\nChristian Meoli and his wife\, Camilla\, moved to Tiburon and opened the three-screen theater in 2022. It's a follow-up to Cinelounge Sunset in Los Angeles that he founded in 2012 as a means of reimagining the modern cinema experience.\n\n\n\nTheir full renovation of the Tiburon Playhouse\, which closed during the pandemic after more than 60 years in the community\, includes new projection and sound systems\, chic furnishings\, elevated amenities and its own brand of gourmet popcorn with flavors like sea salt\, bourbon caramel\, rosemary salted caramel\, cinnamon churro with pretzels\, mesquite smoked cheddar and truffle.
