Gently Used Art Auction
Belvedere Tiburon Library Art Gallery
10th Gently Used Art Auction
With Art Books from Corner Books
The 10th Gently Used Art Auction (GUAA) is coming back to the Belvedere-Tiburon Library - a popular community event that gives art enthusiasts the opportunity to recycle their art, and acquire art and art books at affordable prices. Sponsored by the Belvedere Tiburon Library Art Gallery, proceeds support the library’s art exhibits, and related events and activities.
Normally a biennial event, the last auction was held in 2018; the 2020 and 2022 events were postponed due to pandemic closures and construction work for the expansion of the library. There should be a fantastic selection of art available!
Donations of 2-dimensional art that is ready for hanging, and art/photography books will be accepted at the Belvedere Tiburon Library Thursday Oct. 26th – Sunday Oct. 29th 2023. The hundreds of art pieces donated will be available for purchase through silent auction bidding Nov. 2nd– Nov. 5th; If patrons fall in love with a piece and want to be sure of getting it, pieces will have a “Buy It Now” option.
Donated art books (including exhibition and auction catalogues), and antiquarian books will be available for immediate purchase at Corner Books, located in the library.
An “Early Bird Preview Party” will be held the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 1st (6 pm-8 pm). Admission to the preview is by invitation only to Belvedere Tiburon Library Foundation donors who have donated a minimum of $500 since 2018.
Qualifying donations will be accepted at the door. Admission is free for the remainder of the event, Thursday Nov. 2nd– Sunday Nov. 5th;
