Irene, a 23-year-old from Bitzaron, was living with her partner, Netta, in Kfar Aza when their lives were shattered on that tragic day. After learning that Netta’s grandmother and uncle had been murdered by terrorists, the couple hid in their safe room. When the terrorists broke in, Netta made the ultimate sacrifice—jumping on a grenade to shield Irene. She survived by hiding under his body until she was rescued by the IDF hours later. This is a rare opportunity to bear witness to history and hear firsthand about the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity.
